Microsoft Security Essentials is one of the good antivirus with good detection rates over virus, malware, trojens, spywares etc.., and also with less false positive(false positive – ). MSE automatically updates and removes threats.

Avast! Free Antivirus

PC Tools is also a decent choice but it has a less detection rate when compare to the other four above, But it uses less system resources and a good virus scan and removal of the boot sector viruses that infect Master Boot Record (MBR).
